![]() Someone with good (or, bad but lucky) aim will just kill the panic Splashdown, but the thing he really has to watch out for is the surprise Splashdown from above or the preemptive Splashdown that will prolong the gunfight with a positioning advantage for the Splashdown user. Panic buttoning, as you people commonly describe it, doesn't actually work as well as you're imagining against weapons that are not weak to it per definition, because the Splashdown user is is very vulnerable while going up. Otherwise, if neither team won by knockout after the match time of 5 minutes passes, then whichever team got the most kills will win. Winning If a team manages to score 25 kills total, then that team will be rewarded with a knockout win. I'd personally just remove a bunch of the upward hitbox and make Splattershot need 230 points to unlock it. You get 5 minutes to rack up as many splats as you can. Those weapons aren't good because Ink Storm is on them, but Ink Storm is good because it's on them.Īnd with 's a bit more difficult, but definitely a part of it being so annoying is that it's on the Splattershot, combined with Burst Bombs. Just so happens that many good main weapons right now have it on them. If someone ever dies to it or a zone is reclaimed by it or whatever, then that only happened because the team actually pushed instead of just saying "here, have a cloud, goodbye". It is not related to the Splatoon development team or Nintendo. Ink Storm is perfectly fine, it doesn't do too much on its own. At the moment "others" are timed-out for a longer time than the Splashdown user. I really think the Splashdown should be like a time-out when for a moment it's only Splashdown vs others, but then the normal flow should resume at the same time for everyone. If I have to wait to resume my hunting, then maybe advanced escapes shouldn't have resumed before. I do however that once that protection is lifted, that their Curling Bombs are already way outside of the radius, opening a fleeting path. I don't care Splashdown users might move around the ink they just laid while the ink still hides/immunises them a bit. To a lesser extent, the same goes for Curling Bombs. But for Judd's sake, if I had almost splatted them, evaded their panic Splashdown, then should at least have frames when I can land the one shot that I needed to finish the job, and at least kill trade. There's nothing wrong with a bit of "air" blast damage outside of the painted area, like Splat Bombs, but if one's giving out a radius indicator, it'd better be accurate.
